Little Tanto Black Palm

175.00

This is the last knife I made with my previous batch of steel.  I only had a small, 5.5" piece left, and tried to maximize the blade length while still keeping a three finger grip on the handle.  This little tanto is what I made.  It is 5.5" total length, with a 2.75" blade.  The steel is CPM 20CV, hardened to 61-62 HRC.  CPM 20CV is the American twin to the Austrian steel M390.  It has a very high (20%) chromium content making it incredibly stainless.  It also has a good amount of vanadium which forms carbides and gives the steel great wear resistance and edge retention. The handle is black palm with 416 stainless steel pins.  The sheath is a simple kydex unit.  It does NOT have a belt loop.  It will accept a Tek Lok (not included), or it can be used as a neck knife.  The blade is hand sanded to 400 grit to give it a smooth satin look.

A few of the photos were taken before the logo and steel were etched on the blade.  The knife DOES have the logo and 20CV etched on it.  The previous pictures were just too good not to use.
